UCO Endeavor Games
The Oklahoma Region Volleyball Association would like to encourage its members to participate in the 10th annual Endeavor Games for athletes with physical disabilities, being held at the University of Central Oklahoma, June 11-14, 2009. The Paralympic sport of sitting volleyball is being included as a sport competition for the first time this year. For the competition, UCO is welcoming able bodied athletes to join the disabled athletes in this exciting and fast paced game. UCO is also the home to the U.S. Men's and Women's Paralympic Sitting Volleyball teams and the OKRVA is proud to support them in any way it can.
The sitting volleyball competition will be held on Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14 at the UCO Wellness Center. Able bodied athletes are encouraged to recruit disabled athletes to join them and register as a team. However, there is a need for individual volleyball players to register and join other individual disabled athletes. From this group of individuals, teams will be formed at the competition. To register and learn more about the Endeavor Games, please go to www.ucoendeavorgames.com. The deadline to register is Wednesday May 22.
